Legal · Terms of Service
Plain terms, plainly stated.
What you agree to when you use this site, and what we agree to in return. Short on purpose. If anything here is unclear, write to us before relying on it.

1. Who we are
PM Vault is an independent software publisher. We make offline, client-side instruments for project professionals — a portfolio line (PM Vault Watch, Gate, Steer and Count) and a single-project line (PM Vault Cadence, Foresight and Converge) — together with the PM Vault Library, a set of guides and workbooks. We publish this site, pmvault.org, to describe them. Not every product is released yet; the site marks what is live, what is in build, and what is a document you can preview.
By using pmvault.org you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.
2. What this site is
pmvault.org is an informational site. The product pages, the live demos, the Library and the free materials are provided for general professional reference. They are not legal, financial or contractual advice, and they are not a substitute for your own professional judgment on a live project.
Where our materials reference project management standards, they are aligned to PMBOK® 8th Edition concepts. We cite standards as authority; we do not reproduce them. PM Vault is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any standards body.
3. Demos run on your machine
The product demos on this site run entirely in your browser. They are client-side: no account is created, no telemetry is collected, and nothing you type into a demo is transmitted to us or to anyone else. Data you enter exists only on your machine and is gone when you close the page, unless you export it yourself.
The offline guarantee. The same principle applies to the full instruments: client-side, no accounts, no telemetry. Your project data never leaves your machine. This is a design commitment, not a configuration option.4. Purchases
Checkout is not yet live. When checkout opens, purchases will be processed by Paddle, acting as merchant of record. That means Paddle — not PM Vault directly — will be the party that sells you the licence, handles payment, applies any taxes, and issues your receipt. Paddle's own buyer terms will apply to the transaction alongside these terms.
Refunds, when checkout opens, will be handled as described in our refund policy.
5. Licences
The instruments themselves are licensed, not sold. Your rights to install and use any PM Vault instrument — across both the portfolio and single-project lines — are governed by the end user licence agreement, which you accept at purchase. If these terms and the EULA conflict on a question about the software, the EULA controls.
6. Acceptable use
Use the site lawfully and in good faith. In particular, you agree not to:
- probe, disrupt or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or its hosting;
- scrape, republish or resell our paid materials, or strip attribution from the free ones;
- misrepresent your affiliation with PM Vault;
- use the site to distribute malware, spam or unlawful content.
We may withdraw access to the site from anyone who breaches these terms.
7. Free materials and no warranty
The free materials — templates, checklists, articles and demos — are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We work to keep them accurate and current, but we do not promise they are error-free, and we may change or withdraw them at any time.
Warranties for purchased software, if any, are stated in the EULA, not here.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PM Vault will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from your use of this site or the free materials — including lost profits, lost data or project outcomes. Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, which for the free site and materials is zero.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
9. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms as the product and the law evolve. The "last updated" date above will change when we do, and material changes will be noted on this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
10. Governing law
Pending counsel review. The governing law and venue for these terms have not yet been finalised. This section will be completed, on legal advice, before checkout opens.11. Contact
